Carrots are low in calories and are an excellent source of beta carotene, converted in the body to Vitamin A and a source of folacin and fiber. The Bradford Marsh, just north of Toronto, is one of the most fertile carrot regions in the World. The marsh provides us with an ample supply for retail, foodservice and industrial segments.
Yellow onions are medium to large in shape, with a yellow papery skin and evenly yellow flesh. The yellow onion is a very solid, dense onion that stores well. They are very flavourful and are well known as one of the best cooking onions. Considered an all-purpose onion due to its versatility, they become sweeter the longer you cook them.
