With the season of giving just around the corner, it’s fitting that EarthFresh was recognized for giving back to the community.

EarthFresh was one of fifteen outstanding partners awarded a “Best in Class Award” from the Daily Bread Food Bank. Presented at the beautiful Berkeley Fieldhouse on Queen Street East in Toronto, EarthFresh was acknowledged for their commitment, passion and generosity.

Having donated more than 750,000 pounds in fresh potatoes, EarthFresh is committed to help feed communities and end hunger.

“Daily Bread is so fortunate to be the recipient of EarthFresh’s donations for more than a decade. Their consistent and unwavering commitment to alleviating hunger, reducing food waste, and giving back to the community has helped us feed thousands of individuals and families in our community. We are humbled by their generosity.”

In a large group effort, EarthFresh Farms along with their growers donated over 80,000 lbs of potatoes to people affected by the catastrophic flooding associated with Hurricanes Harvey and Irma.

Trucks donated from TransX and Eassons Transport delivered the fresh potatoes to the Houston Foods Bank and to Feeding South Florida.

“We felt it was our responsibility to help in any way possible. Our local growers all came together to donate potatoes from their farms to help feed the people of Texas and Florida. ” Tom Hughes, President EarthFresh Farms.

“We were more than happy to donate our trucks to transport fresh produce to people in need.” Rodney Easson from Eassons Transport.
